Toronto based actress Alice Snaden had barely graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal when she landed a recurring role in the hotly anticipated Alias Grace, the latest TV adaptation of a Margaret Atwood novel following the huge success of The Handmaid's Tale earlier this year.

Having secured the role in her first audition since graduating, Snaden plays the governor's daughter Lydia in the period drama, which centres around the murders of Thomas Kinnear and his housekeeper Nancy Montgomery in 1843, and is set for global release on Netflix on November 3. Showing no signs of slowing down, the Canadian actress has also appeared in TV series Murdoch Mysteries and Saving Hope, winning one-time parts in both series since her casting in Alias Grace.
